Drink
(1) I Appreciate: The general emphasis on cocktails, not just beer, and the daily happy hours that make them affordable.
(2) They have CLAMATO HERE! Heaven for vacationing Canadians sick of the seemingly universal American Bloody Marys! All Hail Caesars!(3) Michaladas – A beer cocktail, with ice, and either fresh lime juice or Clamato. Salted rim. Sometimes spiced with Worchester sauce and Tabasco.
(4) Mezcal - This regional drink is too much fun! Take it in a specialty Mezcal Bar, or bring it to a beach party. The beautiful warming sensation as you sip it is reminiscent of scotch or cognac – I like to drink mine with a touch of water. But beware: May cause severe heartburn – I learned early to carry Pepto Bismal, just in case.
(5) Aguas Frescas: Sugary sweet fruit juices with water, sometimes with added milk. The fanicer flavours include pina colada, and kaluha. (At nicer restaurants, you may actually get a fruit ground up with water).
